Pure luxury in a Pizza: White Truffle & Barolo

White truffle. The white gold is grated over an already absolutely eminent pizza with mascarpone, ricotta, ‘nduja, kale, eggs, parmesan and chanterelles.

How it all began ...

Gorm’s was founded in 2008 by Andreas and Kim (restaurateurs), Jonas and Christian (wine importers and wine bar owners), Jakob (waiter) and Gorm (Pizza King from Bornholm).

The six gastronomic enthusiasts got together one evening and started dreaming big, all the while jotting down their ideas on the back of a crumpled napkin.

The dream was to create a place that the six boys themselves would love to hang out in. The experience should be centered on the festive and unpretentious evening with unpretentious high-quality food and lots of good wine. And with Gorm as a pizza miracle maker, self-taught after many working hours as a pizzaiolo in his mother’s café in Svaneke, pizza quickly became a natural focal point in the idea.

Pizza crazy Gorm would push for the prevailing perception of the Italian evergreen by thinking in new gastronomic lanes and just like that Gorm’s became the first in Denmark to approach the otherwise very classic eating in an innovating way, and based on a Danish-Italian gastronomic love affair, created new – sometimes provocative, expressions – and coloured outside the lines for what pizza could be.

The first Gorm’s opened in 2008 in Magstræde. The rest is history.
